The Presidents Letter Hello! As President of Loyalist Winter Club, I would like to welcome you to our 2008-2009 season of skating. The LWC board is enthusiastic and ready to give you another year of a wonderful skating experience! We are planning many activities for the skaters including a weekly recognition program for all the hard work that the kids put into their skating. We will continue with our theme weeks and would certainly welcome any suggestions to make them fun filled and exciting! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the annual Santa Claus Parade. It was such a good time last year, we can’t wait to do it again this year! Our StarSkate program offers test stream skaters valuable lesson time to learn in a positive environment with their coaches and from fellow skaters. LWC encourages everyone to work together to provide a friendly atmosphere on the ice that they share with their peers. This year, we are fortunate to have been granted a Spring Competition from Skate Canada, Eastern Ontario. Keep an eye on our website for details! Of course, we will also have our annual Club Competition to provide all our skaters with a fun event for them to exhibit their accomplishments. The major news for the year is that it is the 25th anniversary of our Annual Ice Show! This is very exciting for Loyalist Winter Club members. Plans are well under way to make this a spectacular event. We are looking for your participation to help make this year the most successful ever and please let a board member know if you have interest in assisting us with this event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your interest in the sport of skating and the support that you offer your children and LWC.
